Lisa Krell is a member of our community and teaches art to our children. All of the pictures are done in watercolor except for the dogwood flowers which was done in pastel.
Sarah Harding
These are a few pictures from Sarah Harding, a student who graduated a few years ago. The first is a still life done in watercolor, and the other is a depiction of an ancient Mayan ruin done in charcoal.

Paper Sculpture
These paper sculptures were created using watercolor paper, watercolor, and pastels. The picture of the rain forest trees by Patrick Harding won second place in an art contest.

Sketch Book drawings
These three pictures were drawn by Timothy in his sketch book. Each week, the students are assigned a subject matter to draw in their sketchbooks. The subjects for these drawings were faces and a full body shot.
Christian Symbols Sculpture
The assignment was to create sculptures that continued with the Christian symbols and Kingdom values theme.
This is a sculpture by Megan, of a phoenix crying as it is about to burst into flames.
This sculpture was made by Brittany. It depicts a Ram stepping on and crushing a serpent.
This sculpture was made by Patrick. It displays the prodigal son being embraced by his father.
This sculpture was created by Timothy. The boy on the man’s back has no legs, but is being carried by the muscular man who is missing arm and cannot see.
Wheel and Dragon
This picture by Brittany is an old stone wheel at Batsto Village in southern New Jersey.
This is a paper sculpture by Megan Kobus.
Envelopes
Patrick’s envelope is a pen rendering of aliens battling robots. On the back side there is a little battle action when you lift the flap.
Megan’s is a dark, lush swamp scene.
Brittany’s is a stylized wave with a boat sailing on the back.
Timothy’s displays a battle scarred castle dungeon with a gold hoarding dragon on the back.
Christian Symbols
The assignment was to create pictures that had Christian themes and symbols present in them. Here are a few.
