For this year’s Harvest Party our theme was fairytales. Everyone’s costumes were creatively made with this theme in mind. There were a few dwarves, a number of gingerbread men and babies, Captain Hook and even Goldilocks and the Three Bears!

It was a fun night of games, skits, laughter, candy and fellowship together.

As October comes to an end we have our annual Harvest Party. In preparation for the party we carve pumpkins a week before the event. The pumpkin designs are to match the Harvest Party theme. This year’s theme is Fairy Tales.

History Night 2009

Anticipation builds each year as October approaches because our community gathers for our annual History Night. With a special meal, stories, pictures and sharing we remember God’s faithfulness through the years.

This year we explored our how our mission as a community has developed. Community is not simply a novel calling, but a fulfillment of the Kingdom Vision. Our mission is to “live together in such a way as to experience and express the Kingdom of God”. It was exciting to see how we implemented seeing our lives together as the mission of God. It was an inspiring time and left us excited about the journey we are on together.

Hammonton Scavenger Hunt

For our weekly Celebration Night on Sept 4th we had a Hammonton Photo Scavenger Hunt. Each team was given 15 clues and had 1 hour and 5 minutes to figure out the clues, take photos of the places with an iPhone, e-mail them to me, and be back home. Everyone had a fun time seeing how well we really know our town.

Fun on the Mullica

We decided to do something different for Celebration Night and go swimming in the Mullica River. As you can see, it was an absolutely beautiful evening and we all had a lot of fun together.

Bowl – ing a noun of late Middle English origin meaning:

A game played by rolling a ball down a wooden alley in order to knock down a triangular group of ten pins. The noun “bowling” can also be known as an incredibly fun way to spend a Friday night with friends. Or, as an enjoyable pastime the involves much laughter, fun, and an over all good time.

Academy Night 2009

Our 2008-2009 school year ended with an awards night. The teachers strive to give out creative awards as they want to capture the highlights of each student. Often these awards get a chuckle from the audience. For example, one award is the “Fainting Teacher” award for the student who suddenly shows unexpected performance. Others were the “Insatiable Curiosity” for the student who is always asking questions and a “Creative Cookie” award. In between the award presentations we were treated to funny health class skits about safety, a violin and cello performance and reading from the kindergarten class. The evening was a nice way to wrap up the school year.

Every year we have a memorial day picinic. We spend the Friday night beforehand getting food and games set up, then on Monday we all have a good time fellowshipping, eating and playing games together.

Now that the warm weather has come, we love to take our celebration outdoors. We played our first game of kickball and it was a blast!

This Saturday was our annual bake-off. Every family makes a dessert and has a commercial to “sell” the dessert. The night was filled with laughter, fun and yummy food.
